Cancelling
How to cancel your Cadence subscription, and what happens to your team's access and data afterwards.
You can cancel your Cadence subscription whenever you need to. Cancelling is done in the Cadence desktop app by the organisation owner, and it stops future charges for your organisation.
How to cancel
- Open the desktop appCancelling is a billing action and lives in the desktop app. Sign in as the organisation owner.
- Open billingIn the desktop app, open the billing tab for your organisation. This is where your subscription is managed.
- Cancel the subscriptionChoose to cancel. This stops your subscription renewing, so no further payment is taken for your organisation.
What happens to access and data
Cancelling stops the subscription from renewing but does not cut off access immediately. Your team keeps full access to Cadence until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. When that period ends, the organisation locks:
- The owner sees a pay or manage screen to resubscribe or review billing.
- Admins and members see an “access paused, contact your owner” screen. They cannot use Cadence until the owner starts a new subscription.
Your organisation and the records inside it are not thrown away when you cancel: your data continues to be held securely and treated the same careful way as always.
For exactly how your information is stored, kept isolated from other organisations, and handled, see your data. If you are leaving over a problem rather than by choice, it may be worth a look at sign-in troubleshooting first.
